Antique Victorian English writing desk in walnut burl with chiselled leather top. The rectangular top has a walnut briar border with a British green leather in the center chiseled with 24Kt gold leaf. The under-counter band encloses a large drawer containing an original key and escutcheon and signed lock. The feet have the classic cabriolet shape connected by a finely sculpted crosspiece and resting on contemporary bronze wheels. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method. Provenance: 19th Century England. Measurements: 133×65 H74cm. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
