Direct from France, a rare and unique French majolica piece that features a multitude of birds around a cobblestone wishing well!
A large tree branch reaches up and over the well to a cobblestone chimney and provides a resting place for three of the birds, with a water bucket hanging from the centre. More water buckets and a bird rest on the grass knoll in front of the cobblestone well base.
Meticulously hand painted in colors of blue, green, grays, yellow, by Jerome Massier(1850-1916) in Vallauris, France with their impressed stamp on bottom for further authentication, circa1880.
