A fine landscape tapestry executed in wool and silk, depicting a leafy view over a river bank through large trees to a clearing beyond containing two castle vignettes. Dark blue/black borders frame the scene simply and attractively. The tapestry is in good condition with rich coloring. Some subtle reinforcement stitching and a recent backing of muslin. There is a pocket sewn into the top edge to contain a hanging rod.
