A gorgeous, classically styled French iron pastry table with a Carrera marble top on original casters, mid 20th century.
It features a beautifully curved wrought iron base with brilliant gilt medallions and ball finials and an ornate cast iron frieze with scroll detail embellished by large acanthus leaves. The top is fitted to the base by notches in the marble so it sits securely and the two pieces interlock together. Both the iron and the marble are in exceptionally good condition showing barely any signs of use or wear. One medallion is missing from the base but it does not take away from its beauty.
