A nicely carved rectangular fruitwood server with molded edge top and breadboard canted ends surmounting a case with two fitted frieze drawers over two nicely carved panel doors with French hinges, which open to a single interior shelf, all supported by two small French splayed feet in front and block feet in the back. The front of the piece is decorated with geometric and foliate relief carving, and the piece is adorned with beautiful brass scrollwork escutcheons. French in origin, dating to the late 18th or early 19th century, in very good overall condition, with some worm damage throughout, shrinkage cracks, and other minor imperfections and light wear commensurate with age and use. Slight bow to the top. Dimensions: 42 in H x 53.5 in W x 24.5 in D.
