Antique French Vineyard Tilt-top Wine Tasting Table

Vendange (wine harvest) tables are integral to French winemaking history. The tilt top function allows them to be stored in cellars and easily transported for wine testing. The grape harvest begins in August and can finish as late as the end of October. Once months of hard work come to an end, it’s time to taste the wine and celebrate with friends and family!

Hand-crafted in Provincial France in the 19th century, having a round walnut plank top with beautiful, richly figured grain patterns, rising on an oak trestle base with pivoting support, all hand carved, with natural nicely aged heavily worn warm mellow patina over the whole.

Condition:
Very good original antique condition. Attractive appearance, with beautifully aged heavily worn weathered distressed patina. Retaining original antique character and charm throughout, including scattered nicks, minor scratches, visible nail holes to top, natural mildly bleached medium brown tones, all typical wear consistent with age and indicative of industrial use. Flip-top mechanism works well. Overall strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Delivered lightly cleaned, waxed, ready for immediate use and generational enjoyment!
