Muguet or muguet-du-bois translates from the French to Lily of the Valley, and the flower is repeated in the pattern along with roses, morning glories and a variety of leaves.
A brilliant, dense, inky blue transfer printed pattern on white earthenware.
Having a charming hand-made quality, each of these blue transfer printed soups varies slightly in the intensity and crispness of the transfer, and in the feel of the plate. With a wide rim showing a running border of leaves, some plates more distinct than others.
