Ancient Preparation Table, Now Rustic Coffee Table
This is a splendid ancient piece, it is very heavy and carved from the tree, it has a large bath and a smaller central bowl, all set on very strong and chunky legs. The table has been made for the preparation of food and assuming from the carvings on the outside it was designed to prepare fish, possibly cheese, it may also be for serving food like rice in the outer ring
The sides of the table top have carvings and at least 1 very deep crevice formed by the natural growth of the tree, we have added a thick plate glass top with a bevelled edge to convert the table into a useable coffee table without concealing its original look
The Coffee table is oval it is 24” high, 50” long and 35” wide
