Danish Sideboard in Rosewood, 1960s

Beautiful Danish design wall unit from the 1960s made of rosewood and with chic details. The cabinet is made of solid rosewood and rosewood veneer. The rosewood wood lends itself extremely well to using the mirrored veneer technique: thin layers of wood from one piece are placed against each other in a mirrored direction, making a copy of the grain visible. The lower part of the cabinet consists of a chest of drawers where six spacious drawers provide storage space for items that you want to have at hand, but would rather not be in view. The drawers slide in and out smoothly by pulling the solid wooden ‘cup handles’. The upper part of the cupboard stands on the low cupboard and has three shelves, all of which are adjustable through subtle holes on the inside of the cupboard.
