Chinese Cinnabar Box Vintage 1950s

Vintage cinnabar box, Chinese mid-century cigarette box, or vanity box. The traditional floral and scrolling surface pattern on the top and inscized square pattern to the sides. The top center is made to hold a jade carving or figure in a custom fit. No jade of figure is present. The measurements are 5.75″ by 3.75″, 2″ tall.
